Get to Know Meg

A woman named Meg Hagaman with a smile, wearing a navy blazer and white shirt, stands outside the Merrimack County Superior Courthouse with her arms crossed.

I'm Meg Hagaman, and I'm running to be your next Merrimack County Attorney.

My husband and I are raising our two young children in Bow. Like every family, we want safe neighborhoods, strong communities, and a justice system that makes sense and does its job.

For more than a decade, I have been prosecuting complex, high stakes cases, and leading teams that bring our communities results.

From serving as the Chief of the Criminal Bureau at the NH DOJ to being on the team right here in Merrimack County, each experience has shaped how I approach this critical work: be firm, be fair, and follow the facts. Justice means holding the worst offenders accountable while seeking alternative resolutions where appropriate —and making sure the system is applied consistently and responsibly.

As County Attorney, I will bring steady leadership, clear priorities, and a focus on prosecuting serious crime, supporting law enforcement, standing with victims, and promoting a justice system people can trust because it is both strong and fair.
